Our Mission

VitusVet operates with a single goal in mind; to improve the connection between pet owners and care providers to ensure the health and safety of all pets.

Our background

VitusVet was founded in 2013 by Mark Olcott, a practicing veterinarian who realized he could use technology to solve many of the problems he faced every day in his practice. We’re proud to partner with thousands of veterinary practice users. We’d love to help you shift routine practice management burdens to technology, to grow client loyalty and revenue.

The Problem

Any breakdown in communication can jeopardize the important relationship between veterinarians and their patients. This can result in scheduling errors, no-shows, and overall front-desk chaos. When things get this crazy at your practice, it’s almost impossible to provide the kind of service that makes clients tell their friends about how great your practice is.

Our Solution

VitusVet offers a platform of tools that will allow you to:

  • Easily add text, push and email reminders
  • Streamline your appointment process
  • Monitor your practice performance in real-time
  • Automate routine pet record sharing

Mark Olcott, DVM
Co-founder & CEO

Mark, a former partner at a multi-doctor small animal practice, co-founded VitusVet to solve the client-communication problems he saw each day. As a collaborative venture between people with very diverse backgrounds and expertise, the company’s goal is very simple: to make it easier for veterinarians and pet owners to share information.

Kalpesh Raval
Co-founder & CTO

Kalpesh, originally from Mumbai, obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Mumbai University. He later earned his Executive MBA from the Robert. H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, where he met Mark and launched VitusVet originally as a team project.
